I was just Jaiku'ing with Whatleydude about the fact that I've not blogged in a while, and I suddenly realised that today is my Voxiversary! Yep, I've been on here one whole year today.
I just wish I'd found time (and inspiration) to blog a bit more. After all, I'm equipped for the job with my N95 and almost constant net availability. Fact is, work is stupidly hectic right now, and has been for a few weeks now. I've slipped into a dull routine of the same journey every day, seeing the same people, sitting at the same desk, seeing the same wall out the window, routinely being too tired when I get home to do anything and doing the routine stuff at the weekends.
Friday next week sees us heading off for a holiday in Cornwall again though, so hopefully I'll come back freshly inspired. Dare I say 'Watch this space'?
Here's to the next year of Voxing...
Yes I've started blogging over at http://nokiaaddict.com and will not post anything else on VOX.
I've decided to keep everything here for reference, so don't worry I'll not be deleting anything from here. I was planning to move all the posts over, but decided against it as I thought everything I post should be up to date or the latest information and most things I've posted are just my thoughts or informing you of an update to existing apps.
Head over to http://nokiaaddict.com and enjoy.
If you need to contact me over at nokiaaddict, my email and also GTalk addy is gerrymoth@nokiaaddict.com
I've just created my own domain and moved over the posts from my N800 Internet Tablet blog over to the new site. Hopefully tomorrow night I'll move the VOX blog postings over. I may need to have a clean up of the post and just bring over the most up to date and significant ones.
Stay posted and go over and have a look at what I've done so far if you want. Once everything is how I want it I'll let you all officially know and I will stop posting on VOX and start only posting at the new domain.
Since Yahoo launched the new v2.0 I've been unable to install on my rebranded n73 due to certificate problems. Now with v3.0 that problem has been removed. Now have v3.0 installed ane working, but word of warning it takes up about 12mb of RAM when in use, so don't have anything else open at the same time. Download using the built-in web browser and http://get.go.yahoo.com

You many think its a bit strange I'm posting about a Wordpress application for the N95 8GB on a VOX blog, but I have another blog for my Nokia N800 Internet Tablet at http://gerrymoth.wordpress.com.
The Wordpress application is called Scribe and can be downloaded from http://scribe.na.nu, you'll need to install Python for S60 before you can use Scribe, but all installation instructions and files needed can be found at the Scribe site.
This app is still in very early beta and I had initial problems getting it to work, but after a day jaikuing and IMing the creator Jay Fenton, he managed to update the application twice and I was able to get it fully working with my basic wordpress hosted blog.
The app runs a bit slow, so you may think you've not created a new post, but just give it a few seconds to catch up. Apart from that I'd like to thank Jay for a great little app which will come in very handy and I look forward to more improvements and additional features to Scribe.

I was in a panic for about a week thinking Traffic Radio had stopped their MP3 audio streams, I use this service with the Nokia Internet Radio Player to check on the latest road conditions before venturing onto the English motorways.
I checked this morning as I set off down the M6 and found the streams are back working and I also got a call from the Highways Agency Customer Relations Team to say the service is now fully working.
While on the phone to the Highways Agency they mentioned ways of publicising the Traffic Radio service and I mentioned maybe adding the streams to the Nokia Internet Radio Player, so hopefully we may see the following in the Directories.
