These Digilegs thingys are kinda cool. Slightly reminiscent of Robocop (or to be more precise, those things that went after the copper* cop). These are being built-to-order by the inventor and cost under $1K. Bargain! Although there's a two month waiting list - but that's a small price to pay and worth the wait if you're a shorty (they add 14 inches!)
*yes, I know he wasn't copper, but you try finding a well known metal that rhymes with a law enforcement name (it can't be done!)
