Via Cnet I just found the following on UK tabloid The Daily Mail's site:

If only there were a funny story behind this

Like my previous post about Google Street View, this isn't funny. Well, that's not strictly true - it's funny in the bizarre/strange sense of the word, not ha-ha funny. The guy was okay, just sleeping off a heavy night. His friend had just died and so he decided to have a few drinks. He got dropped off by a taxi and ended up on the verge instead of the couch. We've all done something similar but we weren't captured by Google.

For what it's worth, I love Street View - but then I've not been captured on it yet (or at least I don't think so!)
