Why can't things be simple? Why am I also being asked politely to wait? Why is it that when you get one thing working, an other falls over? If there were a god, he (or she, or it) wouldn't allow us to suffer in this way, would they?
Sod the waiting game, I'm playing Hungry Hungry Hippos!

I did get the mouse working again. It took a reboot to do it though - and that meant having all the start-up crap starting up again! I hate Vista!
I suggest you use a Belkin Bluetooth adapter, preferabely their most recent one that i got last year for £20. It fully compatible and reliable.
Then i suggest you make sure you uninstall any previous version of PC Suite, got to the official website and download the version compatible with your phone; tho it would be compatible with all recent nokia phones sans some specific handset features.
Your problem is most likely bluetooth drivers incompatible with vista, not the OS's fault, just some lazy companies not putting in the effort to support the lattest OS. Belkin have always been good at keeping up with changes.
Vista tends not to do too well when installed individualy, its much better if its preinstalled and built for the system. The 64 bit version is notoriously incompatible with many things, and thats where most of the vitriol stems from.
Give it a go, it may work. Takes quite abit of patience with these things and i have that of a saint. :)
OSX would handle the bluetooth situation better, but thats cos' they come with a bt radio installed and its all tightly integrated into the OS from start.
Windows has to deal with many suitors for its usb/pcmcia/PCI slot virginity and its rather hard to keep track of all their wacky personalities....something is bound to go pear shapped. For me tho, a very long term Vista user from public betas to full version, i've not had much issues, and those that i've had have been resolved.
XP had may teething issues for a few years until service pack 1 was released, and thusly after service pack 2. I also used the beta releases of that. People are just far more aware than they were of those days and are alot more vocal. XP had time to mature in relative silence, but its equally still-born siblin might aswell have miscaried cosidering its lukewarm reception, thus it wont have time to mature before Windows 7.
So dont give up yet, the grass isnt that greener on the other side, its just painted that way to lure the sheep befre the gates are locked behind them and wolves come out laughing "youre mine now!!!"
Of course thats not to say its a bad thing to try them out, thats demorcracy and freedom our forefathers died for. Just dont slam the door on your way out.
Blah blah blah! I promise this wasnt intended as an essay, it just pours out of the fingers. You wont get the same if i see you at the Symbian Show this year...if youre going.
As much as I like technology, I'm doing things on a budget - so no £20 Belkin BT dongles for me! The ones I bought were about £3 each (false economy? Maybe)
The Vista laptop never had PC Suite on it before, completely fresh install. The laptop came pre-installed with Vista (couldn't find one with XP!)
It's not that I hate Vista as such, TBH it seems just as good/bad as XP most of the time. No, what happens is I get frustrated with problems on whatever device I'm using at the time and curse it and it's OS. My main gripe with Windows (as a whole) is that there's far too many ways to achieve the same thing and some things don't appear straightforward.
Ideally something like the 'advanced' desktop on the Eee, with the software and hardware support of Windows would be the ideal environment for me. I can but dream!
