Portable video players and commuters
Still on the whole video-to-go thing, on the way back from Symbian Smartphoneshow last week I happened to be in the no man's land that is the bit inbetween carriages on the South West Trains service from London Waterloo. There was probably about ten of us standing/half-sitting in the cramped space. Interestingly, out of that number four of us were watching video or various devices. Is portable video becoming more mainstream? And what was everyone watching? I don't know, I couldn't get a good look!
FWIW, there was a woman who appeared to be pregnant and was standing whilst about four businessmen were sitting down. If I had been sitting I would've got up and given her my seat even if she didn't appear pregnant. Standing up, had I known she was definately pregnant, I would've made sure one of those guys got up for her. Truth be told, I didn't want to risk making a scene and inadvertantly insulting a woman with a bit of a belly. Rant over! ;o)
