See your home on the Wii Internet Channel!
This is a cool thing that not many people know about, it even amazed one of the Opera guys who I demonstrated it to on their rather comfy sofa at the Smartphone Show last month. Yeah they had YouTube running, they clearly knew about that!
Well, Flash Earth is a TV-friendly, Wii-Friendly way to check out what your house looks like from far, far above. You can see which neighbours have a pool or trampoline. In the UK there's a surprising amount of pools (even near me!) and we would appear to have a trampoline pandemic (just check out those tell-tale black circles with blue rings!)
The Wii, BTW is a great educational tool as well as being great fun. Flash Earth and Wikipedia on the TV and viewed and controlled from the sofa is a great way to engage kids that normally veg out on Nick Toons.

I can't believe i missed that wii part of the opera booth. Last year was so empty, i didnt really bother much with opera this year....apart from that long chat we had there.....then i find out they had a wii demo going on. Just my luck.
The government are missing a trick. If they came up with a tax on trampolines they'd easily clean up. Of course on the downside they'd be plenty of trampolines discarded by the side of the road!
The Wii part was kinda hidden behind the front of the stand. It was too easy to walk past and just think it was yet another flat panel display showing some demo. It was only that I was chatting with one of the guys about Flash Earth and he invited me over to demonstrate it to him.
That was a chilled out stand, good chats with the Opera folk and fellow visitors! Those fortune cookies were my dinner!
