Vodafone don't want your custom...
My sister rang me Friday morning about her iPhone. She was in her local Vodafone store and they refused to help her (re-) set her phone up for their internet plan. They claimed as it wasn't a Vodafone supported device they couldn't let her have internet or help her set it up. We had the exact same thing in my local Vodafone store a couple of months ago.
The thing is, she's had internet access on it for the last couple of months and she's had Vodafone's internet plan. The day after we got some complete and utter airhead telling us it would be illegal (or words to that effect) to set up an unauthorized device on their network, I managed to get it working and have a more sane member of staff in the same store set-up the plan.
Now, she's unable to use the 'net on her phone until she sees me at Christmas. All because of Vodafone's useless no-nothing-know-it-all staff. She uses the 'net everyday on her phone to check her emails. This is going to be a huge inconvenience for her and she's already on about ditching the network and ditching the phone.
