Early this morning I enjoyed an episode of The Simpsons whilst waiting for my train home and, on the train itself, an episode of The Colbert Report. This was on the Hulu site via the Skyfire browser on my N95 8GB. Oh, and in the UK. How awesome is that? In my mind, very!
I knew NBC and Fox were on Hulu, had no idea about Comedy Central until then. I'm in TV heaven!
Just tried MTV Music's site as well and that didn't work, but fortunately Truveo.com's mirror (for want of a better word) does.

Woolworths, the historic store chain that is older than anyone I've ever known, is pretty much done and dusted. Very sad. Although it's been a shadow of its former self for some while now - my local branch used to be a vast department store but kept getting whittled away until it took up only a quarter of the same building. Incidentally, the same branch that Liz Hurley apparently hung outside of in her punk days (not that I remember bumping into her as a kid).
Anyway, I thought I'd check out their website and see if anything was being given away (sentimentality aside, it's Christmas and presents need to be bought for as little as possible) and I got this...
Last night at Mobile Geeks of London the two Nokia Eseries devices were, quite literally, weighed up by some of the guys (and girls) at WOM World and moi.
Did they weigh the same, or did the E71 weigh more? The jury is still out on that one. Does it really matter? No, not in the least. I did quite like the E63 in red, for what it's worth.
Just seeing this on Sky News - There have been reports that the Indian government were concerned about what was being tweeted and that many people witnessing the attacks may've been inadvertently giving away useful information (regarding police positions etc) to the terrorists.
Interesting. Seems a bit unlikely, but you never know. I've never even considered the possibility of terrorists using Twitter before. But, when you think about it, it would seem to make some sense. They use the 'net, right? They us email and presumably IM, no? And it would make sense for them to use mobiles (it was an orchestrated attack).

Very good reads. For what it's worth the OFCOM report is the usual crapola and it in itself isn't worthy of 5 seconds (believe me, I spent much longer than that reading it!)
So, T-Mobile UK have those ads for finding more minutes in the most unlikeliest of places. They're not entirely accurate (but then they're ads, are they not?) and so 3 UK made a spoof ad.
Well I'm out of minutes, opps. Can't find any cows as I'm a townie... 'what's a cow?' Tried getting me more minutes by ringing 333 but that just turned out to be a comically frustrating call. Good job I did find a friend to take pity on me, he'll be bunging me his spare phone tomorrow. It's contract, he doesn't use it but contract has yet to run out. Spare minutes aplenty!

Nokia LifeviNe is now available to all. Well 'all' that have the right Nokia Nseries phone device. What is it? You'll come up with better answers than I, if you simply Google it for yourself. But in a nutshell, it uses GPS to keep track of where you are, tagging pictures and videos you take along the way. When you're home you can retrace your steps on a 'puter and so can others.
Funny thing though, the application keeps asking me for an access point. Nokia viNe is meant to be used whilst out and about, on the move. Why does it need to ask if I wish to use WiFi? Unless I'm in a humongous hotspot, what's the point?
Last night I went to the pictures and rather foolishly paid £18 for a pair of tickets. You're on a date, you think it might be a good idea to get the 'premier' seats. No. No, it's not (but I won't go into the pros and cons of giant arm rests here).
Anyway, there you are, about to watch the movie and you get a heavy handed advertisement telling you not to download illegally. Um, I've just paid £18, we've had to sit through ten minutes of really bad adverts proceeding yours and the film is nothing but an advert for other Sony products. Not too mention the price of popcorn and drinks (but that's a different matter). You've really got some nerve showing that!
If anything, my date, me, and the rest of the audience should've been paid to watch the informercial that was the film. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind product placement as long as it's done right. But it has to be natural. When every single piece of electronics has the same brand on, when the goodies and baddies use the same brand and, when the bloody logos are well and truly in your face, it's just not on. It distracts from the film. We actually started a game of 'spot the Sony product' - I kid ye not!
Oh, forgot to say the name of the movie, but I'm sure you can guess! And another 'oh,'... I like Sony products and tie-ins but throughout the bloody film? Nooooo.
Juror used Facebook to help her decide case she was hearing, she could've faced prison.
If there were ever proof that trial by jury isn't all it's cracked up to be, a juror in the UK asked her Facebook friends to help make up her mind. As almost every adult knows er, you're not meant to discuss the bloody case with anyone! If she hadn't known before she was picked, she should've damn well known the moment she got the letter.
Would you want someone like that deciding the fate of someone who'd wronged you, or if you yourself had been wrongly accused of something?
She got off scot free though and, presumably, doesn't have to worry about doing jury service ever again!
