Just got this email from CPC that was meant to be their special offers. Well, to me there wasn't anything special about it...
As for your accessories, I'm guessing they'll be overpriced too - so I won't even bother looking. In fact, I'm going to avoid your site altogether in the future.
If any readers really want Wii Fit and are so desperate that they'll pay anything, you better hurry - this daily deal is only available
Damnit, I invite you into my home and you do nothing but whine at me! Look, you can see other Miis and I can use other technology - that was the deal. Actually the deal was I'd use this for a week and give it back to my sister, seeing as I'm not using it daily anymore I may as well do that... but I want to give it one more try. Wii can make this work!
Let me get this straight. Despite being quite clearly overweight (see pic at bottom of page), despite rather little exercise and despite a habit of snacking (things you know all too well), you reckon that I've got the body of a man 6 years younger? That's not bad going. Well, unless that's a 26 year old who's overweight, lazy and snacks a lot...
I just caught an ad for Wii Fit on the TV. It taught me something new... you can jog against a friend in Wii Fit! I had no idea. You often see friends in real life jogging together, so who wouldn't want to get sweaty with a mate in front of the TV?
I'd actually pass on that one but I'm surprised that Wii Fit doesn't have an online aspect. Skiing and snowboarding against others from around the world, scores and goals to compare/compete with and in-built messaging to help 'mentor' your fellow Wii Fit-ness freaks would make it a helluva lot more interesting - adding to the longevity of the game.
BTW I love the tag line: Feel Great Britain - much better than what was originally suggested: Feel Fern Britton ;o)
I was going to write more about my experiences with Wii Fit than I have done. I was going to use Wii Fit everyday. Oh well... I was also meant to give it back after a week, er...
Anyway, a fellow VOX blogger by the name of Lilapumpa asked me about Nintendo's fan-tabulous fitness fing thing so I thought - hey, why don't I get my arse in gear (along with my legs and arms) and get on that board with my N95!
Here's a video I uploaded earlier... BTW - there's a bunch more of them but I'm out and about and using 3's Mobile Broadband... It's great and everything but I know better than to upload relatively huge files on that!
Not bad huh? 15 years shed in days... now I'm (nearly) acting my age! Since I took this snap a few days ago, I've gotten my Wii Fit age down to 29, and then up to 33. The former is three years younger than me, the latter is a year older.
Do I put any real faith in the Wii's results? To be honest... no! But as part of a wider geek-fit plan I think I'm beginning to see some results. When I actually start to do the "muscle exercises" I might see some more significant improvement. Right now I'm sticking to the yoga, aerobic and balance exercises (plus 'external' exercises such as walking - I'm a far way off from running at the moment!)
I've been using this in conjunction with Nokia Sports Tracker and Wellness Diary (I'll probably through Step Counter into the mix too). What I won't do in the name of research!
